Hello hello. Yes, I'm aware that this is
not the appropriate time to blog, being my uber busy week filled with
tests and essays to be handed in but I'm sick and I haven't had a flu
this bad in a long, long time. Missed school yesterday and today (and
Arts Night too gah) and so I'm just working on getting better and
working on my literature essay even though it's so confusing. And in
other news, I think having the iPhone 5 is turning into a curse because
I'm getting quite addicted to Temple Run 2.
SO
MY 18TH BIRTHDAY wasn't at all how I imagined it to be a few years
back. I wanted a super lavish party with all my friends getting happy
and high and showering me with gifts that I did or did not deserve. But
alas, that was but a distant dream. My 18th birthday was spent in school
like literally the WHOLE of it was in school because it was on Day 3 of
orientation. Actually, Day 3 of orientation was on my birthday, not the
other way round. Which meant I was in school from 7am to 7pm, being
bullied (or as they call it, "blessed") solely because it was my
birthday. But I should count myself lucky because I only got sprayed and
doused in water (so many times, I literally spent the day drenched)
when usually, one gets tau hueyed or caked and is forced to spent the
rest of the day smelling much like puke.
To start the day off right, I had a scrumptious breakfast prepared by Chef Tan. Delicious eggs and bacon mm mmm. I was so touched that he woke up early just to make this for me :')
WAS SO HAPPY THAT JIA JIA AND DANA AND NIC AND RINA (not in picture because she didn't know how to get to acjc from buona mrt) MANAGE TO COME omg best part of my birthday
My lego-inspired cake from Cedele!!! Now I know that whatever looks pretty, isn't that great-tasting.
But I was really grateful to my family who really made the effort to make my birthday special. Even though we already celebrated the weekend before with a buffet at Carousel to commemorate both Mom's and my birthday, Mom whipped up a yummy dinner but I couldn't really enjoy it because I was too tired (had to rush home then back to Holland so that I would be able to report at 6am the next day). Only spent about 2 hours at home :( :(
Now on to the more exciting part of my birthday. CLUBBIN WHOOP WHOOP ok I must confess this wasn't my first time. I went to Mink for post-prom and then we popped by Sky Garden for a bit in Bali BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME OF LEGAL CLUBBING! I was kinda disappointed they didn't ask for my ic since we got a table (thank you guys!!!). I went with Nigel, Hrishi, Stud, Wei Cheng, Nat, Cherish, Hannah and Jamie. And Mark Khoo joined us later.
I died sooooo early and fast! I only remember just drinking whenever anyone told me to and getting super dizzy and puking at the curb. Thank GOD Nigel took care of me properly. Nonetheless, I had fun! But note to self, never start the night off with a flaming lamborghini. It will only result in your imminent, premature passing out.
